Everytime ..i get wacked with questions from my friends who r interested in learning to play the guitar...so thought i'll put together some gyan out here ;)

First Thing...U'v gotuu own a Guitar...

If your still a student and you hate studies.. then i'm sure ur pops will never buy u one..so please use all ur skills to butterfyyy ur mum , sis or bro to get u ur first guitar ;)

Some of the brands u can look for are..
Acoustic Guitars---
GB&A(5k),Pluto(5k),Signature(5k)(This was my first guitar),Ibanez(10k),Cort(10k)...etc etc etc.

If u plan to buy a electric guitar well and good .
Go for Cort EVL Z4(18K)..it also needs a guitar processor(preferably Zoom g21.u(9k))

You can visit these places..But trust me these guys will never answer ur questions unless they'r absolutely sure that ur gonna swipe ur card.;)..Also please make sure to go there with someone who has knowledge on guitars..or else get ready topii haakskollooke ;)

Next thing is to download these Guitar Lessons and go through them .If you are able to understand ...Good 4 U..else please go and join the guitar classes.

But kindly do make an effort to learn the basics before joining the classes else the guitar guru's will kill u atleast for 6 months teaching you all the crap in the world that is not necessary for playing songs on the guitar.

Lot of material is available online..Just Google Maadi.

Once you are familiar with the basics, the links listed below might help you improve on ur strumming.Also below are forums where you can find chords for songs until you have learnt to figure out them by ear.
